Remember that opening scene from Cars when Lightning McQueen kept saying "I Am Speed"?
The Elantra N Line is weeks away and it could have you whispering the same thing to yourself as you get ready to pull this vehicle out of your garage and head to work.
The new model will join the Kona N crossover and Veloster N in Hyundais growing performance lineup when it's officially revealed next month.
So how does this compare with the already introduced Elantra N-Line?
Well, first off, it'll be sportier. The "Elantra N" will come with a rear spoiler, red trim on the side skirts and bumpers, and large dual exhaust tips, which should provide a raucous exhaust note. It'll also have a stiffer suspension, larger brakes, and 19-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Sounds pretty slick huh?
The Elantra N is expected to be powered by the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that's found currently in the Kona N and Veloster N.
Horsepower? How does 276 horses sound? Couple this with the 289 pounds of torque and you've got yourself a ride that screams "I Am Speed".
For those that like to actually drive a car like this, it will come in a 6 speed manual transmission as well as an 8 speed automatic.
To put this into perspection, the current Elantra N-Line has a 201 horsepower, 1.6 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine - so an upgrade to say the least.
Word on the street is that we could see this model hit Surrey streets by the end of summer.
