The inside is trimmed in real aluminum, leather and wood, arrayed horizontally and matching the elegant outside perfectly. No one is likely to complain about this ride's elegance factor.
Under the elongated hood there is the same 333-hp 3.8-liter V6 or 429-hp 5.0-liter V8 driving the rear wheels. A little aft of those is ZF's superbly smooth eight-speed Shiftronic automatic. The new model also comes with an optional HTRAC all-wheel drive, which transfers torque to the front wheels via an electronically controlled multiplate clutch.
There are some new technological upgrades like automatic braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection and a host of other luxo features -- including a CO2 sensor for the interior to see if you're breathing out too much carbon dioxide -- the coming Genesis is worthy of spearheading Hyundai's new aim of including more premium luxury in its lineup.
It will be one of the first vehicles with Google Glass integration. Hyundai does it again with it's innovation; there will be a new blue link infotainment system that allows this. Check back soon for more information on this feature.
